He Took It Too Far

John’s blood was boiling. He had enough of cleaning up after someone else.
His neighbor had been testing his limits, and now, he was running out of patience. He wouldn’t get away with it any longer.
John reached for his phone and dialed the three-digit number. His neighbor wasn’t going to get away with this any longer. If only he knew what was coming his way.
An Obnoxious Neighbor

John always felt a deep frustration during this time of year.
It was fall, meaning trees had started shedding leaves and flowers to survive the harsh winter. But there was one issue.
Every year, without fail, John’s obnoxious neighbor, Tim, would rake his leaves into John’s yard. When John confronted him, he simply said, “You don’t have any proof.”
Nothing He Could Do About It

Over the years, John learned to dread this time of year.
Every weekend, he would spend hours raking up leaves that hadn’t even fallen from his trees. He always felt like there was nothing he could do about it.
Tim was selfish, stopping at nothing to make life more convenient for himself. But John was getting fed up.
How Could He?

That fall was no different. As soon as the leaves started to fall, John’s lawn was covered in them, while Tim’s remained flawless.
A fiery rage burned deep within John. How could the man be so selfish?
But that year, John noticed something in Tim’s driveway that hadn’t been there before. It was something that could get his nasty neighbor into big trouble.
He Had A Plan

John was desperate to finally get revenge on his awful neighbor, but he wondered if he was taking it too far.
But everything fell apart one Saturday morning.
That day, John awoke with a plan in mind. He knew his neighbor’s schedule. At 7 am sharp, the man would leave his house and start raking the leaves from his yard into John’s. That’s when he would act.
Bright And Early

John awoke at 6 am and prepared a pot of coffee. Over the weekends, he liked to sleep in. But, that day, he had to be up bright and early to catch his neighbor in the act. Tim had no idea what was coming his way.
With a cup of coffee in hand, John waited by the window. He glanced at the driveway, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.
Tim wouldn’t know what hit him.
As Expected

Just as expected, Tim left his house at 7 am and began raking the leaves. At first, he raked up a neat little pile at the bottom of his lawn.
But as expected, John watched him rake them into his yard, just like every other time.
Usually, John would be seething, but this day was different. He reached for his cell phone. He was about to teach Tim a valuable lesson.
A Family Man

John Anderson was a good man. There was nothing he loved more than his wife, Amanda, and their only child, Tasha.
He’d always promised to give them everything they wanted.
When Tasha was only five years old, John and Amanda packed up their lives in the city and moved to the suburbs in Atlanta, Georgia. They wanted to be closer to Tasha’s school.
The Best Decision

When they first moved to the suburbs, they thought it was the best decision of their lives. Their neighborhood was safe and quiet, and their neighbors were wonderful.
They got along well with everyone on their street, but that all changed when a new couple moved in right next door.
At first, John tried to get along with their new neighbors, but soon, they became enemies.
Something About Him

There was something about Tim that just didn’t sit right with John. Something about his demeanor just seemed strange.
But that fall, John discovered that his neighbor had an annoying habit.
At first, John couldn’t understand why so many leaves were in his yard. They barely had any trees. But one day, he caught Tim in the act.
Caught Red Handed

He watched from his kitchen window as his neighbor raked his yard, only to find that instead of disposing of the leaves himself, he was raking them into John’s yard without a care in the world. This infuriated John.
“Hey, what do you think you’re doing?” He questioned sternly as he stepped outside.
But Tim pretended not to know what John was talking about.
Not Afraid

“Howdy neighbor. I’m just raking. You know how messy this time of year can be,” Tim shrugged casually as if he hadn’t done anything wrong. But John was not afraid of confrontation. He confronted Tim about the matter.
“What are you talking about? I didn’t rake anything into your yard, neighbor,” Tim smiled innocently with a shrug of his shoulders.
This only made John angrier. Tim was lying.
Unphased

“Yes, you did. I was watching from my kitchen window. I saw you rake those leaves into my yard,” He said sternly, but Tim was unphased.
He went about his business around the yard, barely paying any attention to John. “Oh yeah? Where is your proof?” Tim asked, unbothered by the confrontation.
John was taken aback. He expected an apology, but he wasn’t about to get one.
Not A One-Time Thing

John was hoping that it would be a one-time thing, but in the weeks that followed, he caught his neighbor doing it again and again.
But every time he confronted him, he would be met with the same response. “Where is your proof?” Tim would chuckle sarcastically.
Eventually, John stopped trying. He didn’t know what he was supposed to do about it. But as the years passed, Tim never stopped this behavior.
He Gave Up

Eventually, John learned to hate the fall. Every weekend, he would have to dedicate hours to cleaning his obnoxious neighbor’s mess.
How could Tim be so selfish? He couldn’t understand it.
He’d spoken to his wife about it multiple times, but neither of them could think of a solution. But one fall, John simply had enough.
Furious

As soon as the leaves began falling, John was already furious. He knew what was coming, and he dreaded having to deal with it.
But that fall, he noticed a car in Tim’s driveway. It had not been there before.
But one day, John overheard his neighbor speaking to his wife about the car and where it came from. It was a conversation his neighbors didn’t want him to hear.
A Private Conversation

“If the police ever check that car in our driveway, you’ll get a hefty fine,” Tim’s wife said, clearly angry about the situation.
John was in the kitchen, grabbing a glass of water. He couldn’t help but listen in on their conversation.
“It’s the law, Tim! Any car in the driveway has to have tags and insurance on them. If you get caught, you’ll get into trouble,” The woman continued.
He Had A Plan

But Tim wouldn’t listen to his wife. “Honey, why on earth would a cop just pitch up and check the car? We’re fine. You are overreacting,” He said.
He was right. The cops wouldn’t just show up for no reason. John couldn’t help but grin to himself as he stood in the kitchen.
He knew just how to get revenge on his nasty neighbor.
Too Far

In the days that followed, John couldn’t stop thinking about the car, and the trouble his neighbor could get into for having it in his driveway. John was a good man, but the man had pushed him too far.
He was waiting for that Saturday. That was when his neighbor would work in the yard and sabotage his lawn.
This time, he would show him what he was made of.
His Schedule

That Saturday morning, John awoke with a plan in mind. He knew his neighbor’s schedule.
At 7 am sharp, Tim would start raking the leaves from his yard into John’s. That’s when he would act.
He’d planned it out all week. He couldn’t wait to see the look on Tim’s face when he finally got his revenge. He’d messed with the wrong man.
His Own Medicine

As soon as he got up at 6 am, he prepared a pot of coffee. John had to be up bright and early to catch his neighbor in the act. This would be the day Tim got a taste of his own medicine.
With a cup of coffee in hand, John waited by the window. He glanced at the driveway, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. Tim wouldn’t know what hit him.
Unaware

Just as expected, Tim left his house at 7 am and began raking the leaves.
He was unaware of the eyes that followed his every move as he walked along his lawn, raking the leaves into a tidy pile.
Then, just like every other time, he casually raked the pile onto John’s yard and left it there. Usually, John would be seething. But this day was different.
A Call

A smile tugged at the corners of his mouth as he reached for his phone.
Usually, John would think twice about doing something like this, but Tim had been working on his nerves for years.
As far as he was concerned, the man deserved it. Without hesitation, he dialed the three-digit number and brought the phone to his ear.
911

“911, what’s your emergency?” The operator asked on the other end of the line. Finally, John was going to get his revenge.
He put on a sweet and concerning voice.
“Good day, ma’am. I’d like to report something. My neighbor has a car parked in his driveway which doesn’t appear to have any tags or insurance on it. Would you mind sending an office out to check for me?” The entire time, he had a grin on his face.
Wait

He gave the woman Tim’s address before hanging up. All he had to do now was wait. He sipped from his coffee, watching as his terrible neighbor continued raking leaves into his lawn. Justice was about to get served.
John was done being the nice guy. He’d asked his neighbor politely to stop, but he refused.
He pushed him too far, and now, he’d have to deal with the consequences
He Noticed

John waited patiently by the window. Tim had noticed him, yet he still raked leaves into his lawn. But he wasn’t too upset.
He knew what was coming his way. His revenge would be sweet.
Before he knew it, a squad car pulled up in front of Tim’s house. He could instantly see the panic on Tim’s face. He knew what was coming.
The Officer

John stood by the window, laughing to himself as the officer walked around the car, looking at the VIN and running information.
Tim was visibly scared. It was perfect.
With excited eyes, John watched as the officer handed Tim a hefty fine. “If this isn’t sorted in two weeks, I will be back to tow the car,” The officer said in a threatening tone.
Don’t Mess With Me

“Of course, officer. I am so sorry,” Tim said, his hand shaky as he took the ticket from the officer’s hand. He watched as the officer got into his car and drove off.
But when Tim turned around, he was surprised to see John standing outside of his front door.
“You don’t want to mess with me,” He said, a grin on his face.
Distraught

Tim looked distraught as he slowly backed away and headed back into his house. He was shook up by the enormous amount on the ticket. Tim couldn’t believe what John had done.
For the rest of that day, John sat in front of the television, watching the game.
When he glanced out of his window, he was surprised to see his neighbor in his yard, cleaning the mess he’d made.
Spotless

As time passed, John was pleased to see his yard spotless. Tim had learned his lesson, and he never dared mess with John again.
Finally, John could live in peace each fall without having to worry about cleaning his yard for hours on end each day.
He had earned Tim’s respect.
