Ally’s Concerns
Ally suddenly felt a subtle unease whenever her husband, Mike, insisted on spending alone time with her toddler, Kaylee.
All of a sudden, he had an interest in being with her daughter.
Unable to shake off her instincts, Ally decided to take matters into her own hands and secretly set up a hidden camera in the living room.

Ally didn’t know what to make of the sudden change, but she had always wanted her husband and daughter to get along ever since they got married.
Mike didn’t have children of his own but always expressed his love for children. He was an uncle to five nieces and nephews, and he spoiled them to no end.

It was perfectly normal for a stepfather to have a close relationship with his stepchild.

When she eventually told Mike about Kaylee, he didn’t bat an eyelid. He was calm and said that he couldn’t wait to meet her. He told her that he loved children.

Fast forward to six months later, and Ally and Mike were married. Everything happened so fast, and Ally was the happiest she had ever been in her life.

At first, Ally thought it was a great idea.

She felt a little suspicious of her husband’s behavior. Although she applauded him for wanting to try, his eagerness was making her feel a little uneasy.

Ally didn’t want Mike to force the situation, but eventually, she let them spend some much-needed time together when she was having lunch with her friends.
She knew both of them were going to have a great time together when she saw all the nice things Mike had planned for them.

Ally shook her head. “No, thanks. I’m meeting a friend for coffee and breakfast. Should I bring Kaylee along?” She asked, testing him.
She noticed the way his eyes flickered at that question. He answered immediately. “No, no. You go have a blast. I’ll take care of her,” He insisted. That terrible feeling lingered in her stomach.
Greeting Her Daughter
Ally tried her best to fake a smile before leaving the kitchen. She watched from the doorway as her young daughter sat in front of the television.
In her heart, she could feel that something just wasn’t right. She decided to greet Kaylee before she left for the morning.
She slowly walked toward the girl, a light smile on her face, “Honey, Mommy’s going out for a bit. Mike will take care of you,” She said, but she did not expect her daughter’s reaction.
