There are so many places to start your baby registry now that it’s REALLY HARD to pick one.

I know I struggled to decide.

But after what felt like a zilllion hours of research trying out all the different registries out there we believe we’ve found the perfect one.

Amazon’s baby registry really is the best of them all and I’m going to tell you precisely why we came to that conclusion.

Friends and family want to buy you gifts for your new baby, and when your baby shower comes along, it’s likely that you’re going to be literally showered with items for you and your new bundle of joy.

That’s where having your registry set up comes in.

It makes life a LOT easier if these gifts are things you actually want and need, and not random things that never see the light of day or aren’t to your taste.

I know, I know, it’s the thought that counts, but useful is always better right?

If you need your mind making up here are 11 reasons why we think you should choose Amazon Baby Registry.

1. Amazon is Huuuuuge

There isn’t a lot you can’t find on Amazon. As of today there are more than 270,000 different items for babies available.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for on Amazon I’d be surprised.

Most (or is that all) large baby brands sell their products on there. Plus you can check out reviews and extra images, so you can really be sure you’re getting good quality products.

2. Handy Registry Checklist

This is a small thing but very handy. Once you sign up for your Amazon Baby Registry go over to the registry checklist section and you’ll see all the different categories of baby gear.

These include out and about, nursery, bath time, diapering, feeding, clothing and a couple more categories.

When you click on a category you can then select a subcategory like “strollers” and browse through the strollers right there. And when you’ve found one you like you simply click add to registry.

You can also add products to your registry while browsing Amazon in the normal way.

Once you’ve signed up you’ll see an “Add to Baby Registry” button under the add to cart button.

If you need inspiration take a look at Amazon’s list of Most Popular Registry Purchases and get adding.

3. Save BIG Money

This is THE BIGGY.

Most of us need to watch the pennies so saving a bit of money (or in many cases A LOT of it) really helps. Nine times out of ten you can find the items you want at lower price on Amazon than you can anywhere else.

This means you don’t need to feel bad about putting slightly higher priced products on your registry because you’re getting all the deals!

Not only will you benefit from lower prices, you can also get some BIG discounts on top (make sure you read about all the extra discounts you can get below).

On top of those, look out for special sale days on baby gear, Prime days and special offers so you can get all the things you want a bit cheaper

4. Amazon’s Welcome Box

One of the reasons many moms to be choose Amazon for their baby registry is their awesome Welcome Box.

The Welcome Box contains baby goodies up to the value of $35 and is well worth having.

To get the box all you have to do is follow these few steps:

1. If you’re not already a member sign up for Prime/Amazon Family

2. Start your baby registry

3. Use the checklist we mentioned above to add items to your registry

4. Buy a minimum of $10 worth of goods off of your registry (or have someone else buy something).

5. Sit back and wait for your Welcome Box to arrive

Pretty easy huh?

5. 10% or 15% Completion Discount

Not sure about signing up for Prime yet? Even if you don’t you can still get a very worthwhile 10% Completion Discount which is going to save you a good chunk of money on all that baby gear.

And if you do decide to join Prime?

You’ll be rewarded with a huge 15% Completion Discount up to the value of $300 on qualifying products from Amazon on your registry.

Read more about the exact requirements to get the completion discounts here.

6. Up to 20% Off Diapers and Baby Food

One of the other major perks of joining Prime/Family is the subscribe and save option on diapers and baby food after baby is here.

You will get up to 20% off diapers and baby food when you set up 5 monthly subscriptions or more with subscribe and save.

That may sound like a lot to set up on a regular subscription but it’s very easily done.

Add products like diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream, soap powder, bathing products, baby food, formula, pacifiers, bottle teats and breast pads.

You’ll be using a LOT of them!

7. $100 Diaper Credit

This one is a little known Amazon discount called Diaper Blowout. Don’t miss out on it!

You need to be a Prime member and have had $1000 spent on your registry. Once that number has been reached you can add $100 worth of diaper, diaper cream and wipes to your basket and use a special discount code to get them for free..

$1000 sounds a lot but it’s really not that difficult to wrack up that kind of amount on your registry..

You only have to add in a stroller, car seat and crib and you’ll probably be nearly there.

Diapers are expensive and you need a lot of them so the vouchers are a huge help.

You can also get discounts on products related to diapers too such as diaper rash cream and diaper bags.

Redeem before 90 days after your due date.

8. Free Limited Returns

Don’t like something or have changed your mind about something?

No problem.

You get up to 90 days to return items purchased on your registry for free.

So if you get something and it’s not really what you wanted or expected you can return it and exchange for something you really do need or want.

Perfect!

9. Not Everyone Has to Use Amazon

Here’s another thing we really like about Amazon Baby Registry that most people don’t know about.

You can create your registry with Amazon but if you have friends or family who don’t want to shop online, or prefer to go down the ‘in person’ route, they can find items on your registry list and then tick them as ‘bought’ but buy them elsewhere.

This is useful if you have elderly family members who don’t really like the online shopping experience or find it confusing.

10. Add Items from Other Stores

Amazon’s Baby Registry is a universal registry which means you can add items from other online stores.

To enable this handy feature all you have to do is add the universal baby registry button on your browser.

Then when you see an item you want to add to your registry simply click the add to registry button.

When people go to your registry list and click on a product on another website they’ll be taken there directly.

There’s a bit more info about the Universal Registry here.

11. Super Easy to Use

The Amazon site makes it easy for everyone to find what they’re looking for. When accessing your registry everything is right there in front of you.

When someone has bought an item on your registry list, it is ticked as purchased, and everyone knows not to re-buy.

You can also access your registry list anytime and anywhere using the mobile site. This makes it easy to keep an eye on what’s coming your way, whilst also making it easy for your friends and family to find the items you need and want for your expected bundle of joy.

Creating your baby registry on Amazon is quick and easy, and you’ll enjoy doing it. Baby shopping has got to be one of the most fun things about pregnancy!

Simply create your wish list of items and then share the link with your family and friends.

Before you know it you’ll be all prepared for baby and with a bit of luck have time to put your feet up for a few weeks in the last trimester.

On the fence about which Baby Registry to choose? Here are 11 awesome reasons to choose Amazon's Baby Registry. Including ALL the FEATURES and DISCOUNTS you can benefit from INCLUDING the ones most people don't know about!
